Fuel prices in France: cheapest petrol stations near you

Cheapest petrol stations around a French address for diesel, E10, SP98, E85 or LPG, from the official price feed, with the date and time of each price.

Finding the cheapest fuel near you, with dated prices

French petrol stations report their prices on the official site prix-carburants.gouv.fr, whose feed is refreshed every 10 minutes. The tool ranks stations within 2 to 20 km by the price of the chosen fuel and shows the date of each price, since a station may be slow to report a change.

What the tool shows

Around the chosen address, it lists up to 100 stations that sell the selected fuel, sorted by price or straight-line distance. For each station: the price per litre, the date and time of its last report, the other fuels sold, temporary shortages and whether a 24/7 card pump is available. The summary gives the lowest price and the average of the listed stations.

How fresh the prices are

The feed is refreshed every 10 minutes, but that does not make every price recent: on 14/10/2026, 1,744 of 9,816 stations showed a diesel price more than 7 days old. By default the tool leaves out prices older than 3 days; untick the option to see them, flagged as old.

Example

Central Lyon, diesel, 5 km radius, prices under 3 days old: 27 stations, lowest price €2.240/L in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon (3.2 km), average €2.360/L. On a 50 L fill-up, the gap with the average is 50 × 0.12 = €6.

Limits

  • The dataset does not include the station's name or brand, only its address.
  • The price at the pump prevails.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are French fuel prices updated in real time?

The official feed is refreshed every 10 minutes, but each station reports its own prices. On 14/10/2026, 1,744 of 9,816 stations showed a diesel price more than 7 days old, so the tool shows the date of each price and leaves out prices older than 3 days by default.

Why is the pump price different from the one shown?

The station may not have reported its new price yet, or its last report is several days old. The price at the pump prevails; a discrepancy can be reported through the contact section of prix-carburants.gouv.fr.

What is the difference between E10 and SP98?

SP95-E10 contains up to 10% ethanol with an octane rating of 95; SP98 contains up to 5% (E5) with a rating of 98. E10 is usually cheaper; check compatibility on the fuel filler flap or in the vehicle handbook.

How is the distance to stations calculated?

It is a straight-line distance between the chosen address and the station's published coordinates, rounded to about 100 m. The road distance is always longer: use this figure to compare stations with each other.
