Pokédex lookup: Pokémon base stats, types and weaknesses
Type a Pokémon to see its base stats, types, height and weight, plus calculated ×4 and ×2 weaknesses, resistances and immunities.
Pokémon weaknesses: multiply both defending types
Damage taken by a dual-type Pokémon is found by multiplying the attack's effectiveness against each of its two types: 2 × 2 gives a ×4 weakness, 2 × 0.5 neutral damage, and a 0 on either type an immunity. The tool reads the types and base stats from PokéAPI, then applies the Generation 6 onward type chart.
What the tool shows
For the requested Pokémon, PokéAPI provides the number, types, height (in decimetres, converted to metres), weight (in hectograms, converted to kilograms), the six base stats and the official artwork. The name and category in your language come from the species record. Damage multipliers are calculated by the tool with the same chart as the site's weakness calculator. To see the full type chart, or the weaknesses of a dual type without looking up a Pokémon, use the Pokémon weakness calculator.
Worked example
Charizard (No. 6) is Fire and Flying. A Rock move does ×2 against Fire and ×2 against Flying: 2 × 2 = ×4. An Ice move does ×0.5 against Fire and ×2 against Flying: 0.5 × 2 = ×1, neutral damage. A Ground move does ×2 against Fire but ×0 against Flying: immunity. Its base stats are 78 HP, 84 Attack, 78 Defense, 109 Sp. Atk, 85 Sp. Def and 100 Speed, a total of 534.
Limits
- Abilities (Levitate, Water Absorb, Flash Fire…) and held items are not taken into account.
- Search by English name or number; regional and Mega forms have their own identifier.
- PokéAPI is a community project: data for the newest games may arrive late.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you calculate a dual-type Pokémon's weaknesses?
Multiply the move's effectiveness against each of the two types. A Grass move against Blastoise (Water) does ×2, but against Gyarados (Water/Flying) it does 2 × 0.5 = ×1. A ×0 on either type always means immunity.
What does a ×4 weakness mean?
The move is super effective against both types at once: 2 × 2 = 4. Gyarados (Water/Flying) takes ×4 from Electric moves and Charizard (Fire/Flying) ×4 from Rock moves; these are usually the first gaps to cover in a team.
What is the base stat total?
It is the sum of the six base stats (HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed). It gives a rough comparison of species strength: 534 for Charizard, 320 for Pikachu, 600 for most pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
Can I search by number instead of name?
Yes. PokéAPI accepts the National Pokédex number, from 1 (Bulbasaur) to 1025, or the English name. Alternate forms such as charizard-mega-x or raichu-alola have their own names.
Is this tool really free?
Yes, all tools on Kristools are 100% free and accessible without registration.
Is my data protected?
Yes. All processing is performed directly and securely inside your browser. No personal data is sent to our servers.
