Twitch Revenue Calculator: 50/50, 70/30 Splits vs Kick
Forecast net live streaming income across sub tiers, Prime, Bits, and ad CPMs with self-employment tax deductions.
Streamer income: Twitch and Kick subscription revenue splits
Twitch income = subscriptions × price × streamer share (50% or 70%) + Prime at 1.45 per subscriber + Bits at 0.01 per Bit + estimated ads, then the tool deducts your social charges rate. The same number of paid subscribers is compared with Kick at a 95% share. With the default values, Twitch brings in 1,162 gross (906 net at 22%) against 1,597 gross on Kick.
Tool formulas
- Twitch subscriptions = (Tier 1 × 4.99 + Tier 2 × 9.99 + Tier 3 × 24.99) × share (0.50 or 0.70) + Prime subscribers × 1.45.
- Bits = number of Bits × 0.01.
- Ads = average viewers × live hours × 3 breaks per hour × 3.5 CPM ÷ 1,000.
- Kick = (Tier 1 × 4.99 + Tier 2 × 9.99 + Tier 3 × 24.99) × 0.95 + Bits at the same rate; no Prime, no ads.
- Net = gross × (1 − charges rate ÷ 100).
Example (default values)
240 Tier 1, 12 Tier 2, 4 Tier 3, 85 Prime, 25,000 Bits, 95 viewers, 80 live hours, 22% charges. Twitch at 50/50: 598.80 + 59.94 + 49.98 + 123.25 = 831.97 from subscriptions, 250 from Bits, 79.80 from ads, i.e. 1,161.77 gross and 906.18 net (11.3 per live hour). At 70/30: 1,445.26 gross, 1,127.30 net. Kick: 1,346.57 from subscriptions + 250 from Bits = 1,596.57 gross, 1,245.32 net. The gap shown in Kick's favour compares paid subscriptions only, excluding Prime, Bits and ads: 1,346.57 − 708.72 = 638 a month (354 with the 70/30 split).

Twitch bits to dollars
Twitch pays Affiliates and Partners 1 cent per Bit cheered in their channel: 100 Bits = $1, 1,000 Bits = $10, 10,000 Bits = $100 and 100,000 Bits = $1,000, before tax. The 25,000 Bits of the default example therefore bring in $250 a month. The tool's bits converter uses this rate, which you can change. For euros or pounds, apply the day's exchange rate.
Limits
- Prices are the US base prices, in dollars: local prices (in euros, for example), VAT and app store fees are not taken into account.
