Life path number and personal year 2026 and 2027: method and example
The life path number is found by reducing the birth day, month and year to single digits separately, then adding them and reducing the total again, unless it lands on 11, 22 or 33 (master numbers). Name-based numbers use the Pythagorean table A = 1 to I = 9, J = 1 to R = 9, S = 1 to Z = 8. Numerology has no scientific validation: the tool applies a calculation convention.
The five numbers calculated
- Life path: day and month reduced while keeping 11 and 22, year reduced to one digit, then the sum reduced while keeping 11, 22 and 33.
- Expression number: sum of every letter of the name entered.
- Soul urge: sum of the vowels A, E, I, O, U and Y (Y always counts as a vowel).
- Personality number: sum of the consonants.
- Personal year: birth day + birth month + chosen year, each reduced, then the total reduced with no master number (result 1 to 9).
Accents are stripped and anything that is not a letter from A to Z is ignored.
Worked example
Marie Dupont, born 15/08/1994. Day 15 → 6; month 8; year 1994 → 23 → 5. Total 19 → 10 → life path 1. Letters add up to 55 → expression 1; vowels A, I, E, U, O = 24 → soul urge 6; consonants = 31 → personality 4. For 2026: 6 + 8 + 1 = 15 → personal year 6. Someone born on 29 November 1992 keeps 11 for the day and 11 for the month: 11 + 11 + 3 = 25 → 7.
Personal year 2026 and 2027
The year 2026 reduces to 1 (2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10 → 1) and 2027 to 2 (2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11 → 2, since the personal year keeps no master number). Add your reduced birth day and month, reduce the total to one digit, then read the matching row:

Example: born on August 15, 6 + 8 = 14 → 5, so personal year 6 in 2026 and 7 in 2027. To be in personal year 5 in 2027, the reduced day and month must add up to 3 or 12: that is the case for people born on January 2, February 1 or September 3. Limits
Other schools reduce the date digit by digit or treat Y as a consonant, which can change the result. The profiles shown are interpretive texts with no measurable basis.

How do you calculate your life path number?
Reduce the birth day, month and year each to a single digit, add them, then reduce the total. For 15/08/1994: 6 + 8 + 5 = 19, then 1 + 9 = 10, then 1: life path 1.
What is a master number in numerology?
The numbers 11, 22 and 33, which numerology tradition does not reduce. The tool keeps them for the life path, expression, soul urge and personality numbers, but not for the personal year, which always ends between 1 and 9.
How is the personal year calculated?
Add the reduced birth day and month to the reduced target year, then reduce the total. Born on 15 August, in 2026: 6 + 8 + 1 = 15, giving personal year 6. The cycle restarts every 9 years.
Is Y a vowel in numerology?
Schools disagree. The tool always counts Y as a vowel, so it goes into the soul urge number and not the personality number. A name like Yves therefore gets a higher soul urge number than under the opposite convention.
What is my personal year in 2026 and in 2027?
