Office Team Lunch Bill, Tip & Delivery Fee Splitter
Easily split group food delivery orders including courier fees, service tips, and promo codes per coworker.
Splitting a team lunch bill with meal vouchers
Each colleague pays for their own dishes plus an equal share of common costs (starters, delivery, tip, minus any discount), split only among those who share them. Their meal vouchers are then deducted and the rest is paid by card or transfer. For 4 colleagues and a €74 order, the tool splits €30 in vouchers and €44 in direct payment.
Formula
- Common pool = shared costs + tip − discount (never negative).
- Common share = pool ÷ number of colleagues ticking share costs (every colleague if nobody ticks it).
- Owed per person = individual dishes + common share (if ticked).
- Left to pay = owed − (number of vouchers × face value, at most €25 a day), at least 0.
Example (default values)
| Colleague | Dishes | Common share | Owed | Vouchers | Left |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alexandre | 14.50 | 6.00 | 20.50 | 10 | 10.50 |
| Sophie | 12.00 | 6.00 | 18.00 | 10 | 8.00 |
| Karim | 18.00 | 6.00 | 24.00 | 0 | 24.00 |
| Léa | 11.50 | 0 | 11.50 | 10 | 1.50 |
Shared costs €15 + tip €3 = €18, split by 3 people: €6 each. Total €74, of which €30 in meal vouchers and €44 to collect. The tool also builds a summary to paste into Slack or Teams.
Limits
- The discount only applies to the common pool: any excess vanishes from the split but is still deducted from the total.
- Vouchers entered beyond the French legal cap of €25 a day are not counted; voucher value above the amount owed is neither shown nor carried over.
Sources and dates: French meal vouchers (titres-restaurant): €25 daily spending cap (Labour Code, articles R3262-1 onwards, including R3262-10), no change given on paper vouchers, exact debit on cards, non-ready-to-eat food accepted until 31 December 2026 (Service Public, page F21059, checked 08/07/2026; verified 14/10/2026).
Frequently Asked Questions
How should delivery fees be split between colleagues?
Add delivery, shared starters and tip, subtract any discount, then divide by the number of people who benefit. With €15 of costs and a €3 tip shared by three, each adds €6 to their own dishes. Untick share costs for a colleague who takes nothing in common.
How many French meal vouchers can be used per day?
The French Labour Code caps their use at €25 a day (article R3262-10), paper or card. A €24 meal can be paid entirely in vouchers, a €30 bill cannot. The tool applies this cap: with 3 vouchers of €10 for €40 owed, it counts €25 in vouchers and €15 left to pay.
Does a restaurant give change on a meal voucher?
Not on paper vouchers: the merchant may not give change, so the excess is lost. With a card or app you are debited the exact amount. For an €8 dish paid with a €10 paper voucher, it makes sense to add a €2 drink or dessert.
Can French meal vouchers be used in supermarkets in 2026?
Yes: until 31 December 2026 they can buy any food product, even items not ready to eat (pasta, flour, raw meat), according to Service Public. Alcohol, sweets and pet products remain excluded. Merchants are not obliged to accept them.
